I have a question regarding the "right" word to use for China in Chinese.
In English I used to say "mainland China" and specifically made a point to use "Taiwan" separately. Recently I read somewhere that saying "mainland" in English implies that you believe in the one China policy (which I do not) so I've been trying to use "China" more often and omitting "mainland".
In Chinese, does saying『大陸』have the same implication of implying that Taiwan is a part of China? If yes, should I just use『中國』? I know you guys use 『支那』 but I think that will be socially unacceptable to use in real life.
