I have been playing for the last 2 years and I'm still considered a weak player, most of the people here have been playing since they were children and have many years of experience. If you make an account you will have a rating which will match you up with similar opponents eventually. If you want to get better at Chess, just focus on not giving away pieces at first, harder than it sounds. The puzzles can be good too.
